Consuelo Madrigal Collantes

Ms. Consuelo Madrigal Collantes graduated summa cum laude in 1940 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas. She is likewise a graduate of Bachelor of Arts at Rosemont College in Pennsylvania in 1942. Therefater, she moved to Washington D.C. and enrolled at the Faculty of Law at the Catholic University where she graduated in 1946. She graduated with top honors and was admitted as a Qualified Attorney and Counselor at the U.S. Court of Appeals and Supreme Court in 1946.

Ms. Collantes held several positions in many businesses in real estate and development, shipping, and banking. On top of all these, Ms. Collantes is actively involved in civic organization and community organizations such as Caritas Manila, Consuelo Madrigal Foundation, Inc., Friends of the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines, Vicente Madrigal Memorial Foundation, Santo Tomas Charity Foundation, Inc., Johann Strauss Society, Inc., Foundation for Lay Education on Heart Diseases, Inc., and theBayanihan Folk Arts Foundation.

In 1997, Ms. Collantes was vested the Papal Knighthood, Order of Saint Sylvester. She was also recognized by the UST College of Commerce Alumni Foundation, Inc. as one of its Most Outstanding Alumna in 1993.
