Dr. Teresita U. Quirino

Dr. Teresita Uy-Quirino is one of the country's most established women of pedagogy, actively engaging in undertakings that promote the development of technological education. She has also been committed to social growth as manifested by her dedication to civic and humanitarian activities.

The incumbent president of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) earned her MA and Ph.D. degrees in Education at the UST Graduate School. She has three other doctorate degrees from US-based universities, two of which are honoris causa: Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration from the Kennedy Western University, Doctor of Education (H.C.) from the John Dewey University Consortium of America, and Doctor of Laws (H.C.) from Adam Smith University.

Aside from her post at TIP, she is also assuming relevant tasks at the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU), Coordinating Council of Private Educational Association (COCOPEA), and others.

Her philanthropic works ex-tend to various communities through her affiliations with organizations like the Philippine National Red Cross, The Federation of Agencies for the Deaf, and the Soroptimist Interna-tional of Manila Tourist Belt.
