Ms. Maria Lourdes C. Santiago

Maria Lourdes C. Santiago is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. After passing the board exam in 1987, she joined the Bureau of Food and Drugs as laboratory analyst. In her quest for excellence, a distinctly Thomasian character, she attended several training and conferences regarding the conduct of Bioavailability/Bioequivalence studies in the Unite States, Canada, Australia, and Germany.


Dr. Gilberto L. Gamez

Dr. Gilberto L. Gamez graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the College of Liberal Arts, and with the degree of Doctor of Medicine, cum laude, from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Santo Tomas. After completing his residency in Medicine at the UST Hospital, he underwent specialty training in Psychiatry at the Universidad Central de Madrid and residency specialty training in Neurology at the Neurological Institute of New York, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York.


Engr. Norberto A. Viera

Engr. Viera worked his way up the corporate ladder to become the first local President of all Texas Instruments sites worldwide. Immediately after earning his B.S. ECE degree, he worked as product engineer of the said company. Before he assumed the position of President and Managing Director, he was the Senior Engineering Supervisor and the Operations Manager.


Chairman Rosario N. Lopez

A loyal daughter of this 389-year-old University, Ms. Rosario Lopez began her Thomasian training as early as the secondary level. She later took her Associate in Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees at the same institution. She continued her academic pursuits in Spain, taking up Master of Arts in Spanish and Doctors of Laws at the Instituto Cultura Hispanica and Universidad de Madrid, respectively.


Ambassador Enrique P. Syquia

Prof. Dr. Enrique P. Syquia is presently the Ambassador Estraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to the Philippine Government.

He was valedictorian of his Associate in Arts (Pre-Law) class at UST, and graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Laws, magna cum laude, from the Faculty of Civil Law of the University of Santo Tomas in 1953, and with the degree of Doctor of Civil Law, sobresaliente, from the Universidad Central de Madrid in 1955. He was a Bar topnotcher in 1953 Bar examinations.


Mr. Ramon S. Francisco

Ramon S. Francisco belongs to that fine breed of Filipino journalists who have been schooled and formed as responsible, principled and ethical practitioners of journalism, proud graduates all of the big little Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, now the Faculty of Arts and Letters, of the University of Santo Tomas.


Dean Amado L. Dimayuga

An accomplished and distinguished law practitioner since 1952 and senior partner of Dimayuga Law Offices, Dean Amado L. Dimayuga studied law and obtained his Bachelor of Laws, magna cum laude, from the Faculty of Civil Law of UST. He also has a Doctorate of Civil Law, Sobresaliente, from the Universidad Central de Madrid.


Fr. Anscar Chupungco, O.S.B.

After graduating with the bachelor and licentiate degrees in Philosophy and Theology, all magna cum laude, from the Faculties of Philosophy and Sacred Theology of UST, Ft- Anscar Chupungco pursued post-graduate studies and obtained the doctorate in Litugical Studies at the Anselmianum in Rome.


Mr. Peter B. Favila

Having rose from the ranks, Mr. Peter Favila is a highly regarded name in the Philippine banking industry. A graduate of Bachelor of Science, major in Banking and Finance, from UST, he pursued further training in Advanced Management Program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in USA.


Archt. Carlos Arguelles

His pioneering efforts in Filipino architecture are concretized in the design of buildings, subdivisions and community plans that are suited to Philippine conditions. His designs have a distinct international style which must have been honed during his schooldays in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) and later at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he obtained his Bachelor in Architecture in 1941 and Masterate in Architecture in 1946.
